Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available
Looking for a TIG Welder Ready to Expand Their Skill Set!
Are you an experienced TIG Welder looking for an opportunity to learn a highly specialized trade? We are seeking skilled welders who want to transition into industrial brazing while leveraging their existing knowledge of heat control, joint preparation, blueprint reading, and fabrication.
This is a great opportunity for TIG welders interested in expanding their capabilities within the growing industrial HVAC, chiller, and natural gas industries. While previous brazing experience is a plus, we are open to candidates with strong TIG welding backgrounds who are eager to learn and develop advanced industrial brazing skills.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll work with large copper and steel piping systems used in industrial HVAC and chiller equipment. You'll receive training and hands-on experience in industrial torch brazing while applying many of the same foundational skills used in TIG welding.
Responsibilities include:
Performing industrial torch brazing on copper and steel piping systems ranging from 1" to 4" in diameter.
Assembling and joining components including piping, valves, compressors, coils, and fittings.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Preparing joints through cleaning, fitting, and alignment processes.
Controlling heat input and filler material application to create high-quality, leak-free joints.
Working in various joint positions, including horizontal, vertical, uphill, and downhill configurations.
Performing pressure and leak testing on completed assemblies.
Maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and workmanship.
Meeting production schedules while maintaining high standards.
Why TIG Welders Excel in This Role
Many of the skills developed through TIG welding transfer directly to industrial brazing, including:
Heat control and temperature management
Reading fabrication drawings and weld symbols
Attention to detail and precision workmanship
Understanding metallurgy and filler materials
Working with thin-wall materials and critical joints
Fabrication and assembly experience
Commitment to quality and safety standards
If you already have TIG experience, we'll help you develop the specialized brazing techniques needed for industrial HVAC and chiller applications.
