PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Assembler - Electrical Installer to support the assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of advanced space flight subsystems and support equipment.

In this role, you'll work on high-reliability aerospace hardware, assembling complex electro-mechanical systems, PCB assemblies, and space-qualified components that help power the next generation of space exploration and aerospace technology.

What You'll Do

Electro-Mechanical Assembly

Assemble printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies into product chassis

Build electro-mechanical assemblies using:

Engineering drawings

Blueprints

Manufacturing plans

Standard operating procedures

Perform structural and mechanical assembly operations on aerospace hardware

PCB & Electronic Assembly

Assemble and integrate high-reliability electronic systems

Perform through-hole and SMT soldering and rework

Support installation and connection of electrical and electronic components

Ensure workmanship meets aerospace quality standards

Inspection & Quality Assurance

Perform visual inspections of assemblies against:

Drawings

Engineering specifications

Assembly procedures

Test requirements

Verify product conformity and quality

Identify and document non-conformances

Support repair and rework activities as required

Coating & Finishing Operations

Support:

Conformal coating

Masking operations

Epoxy application

Protective coating processes

Ensure proper handling and processing of sensitive aerospace assemblies

Precision Tool Usage

Utilize calibrated tools including:

Torque wrenches

Micrometers

Calipers

Dial indicators

Test equipment

Perform precision assembly in accordance with engineering requirements

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

More than 3 years of experience :

Reading blueprints

Following manufacturing plans

Working from technical instructions and specifications

Ability to frequently lift 20 pounds or more

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the workday

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace & Electronics Experience

3+ years of experience in:

Electro-mechanical assembly

Electronics assembly

PCB assembly

Aerospace manufacturing

Experience assembling high-reliability aerospace products

Technical Skills

3+ years of soldering experience

Experience with:

Through-hole components

SMT components

Rework and repair techniques

Experience using:

Torque wrenches

Micrometers

Calipers

Dial indicators

Test equipment

Industry Standards

Experience working with:

IPC J-STD-001

IPC-A-610

ESD controls

Current IPC certifications strongly preferred

Additional Experience

Clean Room manufacturing experience

Experience building space-related products such as:

Avionics boxes

Batteries

Mechanisms

Optical systems

Printed circuit board assemblies

Solar arrays

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

Pay Details: $30.20 per hour
