This role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules for transit and rail projects using Primavera P6. The Construction Scheduler supports project controls and coordination efforts by creating, reviewing, and updating contractor baseline schedules and monthly schedule updates. This position begins as a part-time role with the potential to transition to full-time, and it offers a largely remote work arrangement with occasional on-site meetings in the greater Philadelphia area.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed construction schedules for transit and rail projects using Primavera P6.
Create, maintain, and update baseline project schedules in alignment with contract requirements.
Review contractor baseline schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
Perform monthly schedule update reviews, identifying variances, delays, and potential risks to project timelines.
Support project controls by providing schedule data, reports, and analysis to project stakeholders.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to gather schedule inputs and validate progress.
Integrate schedule information with construction contracts to support planning, tracking, and reporting.
Participate in coordination meetings to present schedule status, updates, and recommendations.
Assist in identifying schedule impacts and proposing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Maintain organized documentation of schedules, updates, and related correspondence for audit and reporting purposes.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a Construction Scheduler, specifically supporting transit and/or rail projects.
Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 for developing, updating, and reviewing detailed construction schedules.
Demonstrated experience performing contractor baseline schedule reviews.
Demonstrated experience performing monthly schedule update reviews for construction projects.
Solid understanding of construction contracts and how they relate to project scheduling and controls.
Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documentation to build accurate schedules.
Strong analytical skills to identify schedule risks, delays, and impacts.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and present schedule information clearly.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
Capability to commute periodically to the greater Philadelphia area for in-person meetings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous scheduling experience on transit or rail infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with project controls practices and reporting.
Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including contractors and project teams.
Interest in transitioning from part-time to full-time as project needs grow.
Comfort working in a hybrid setup that combines remote work with occasional on-site presence.
Work Environment
This position offers a primarily remote work environment, providing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with the project team. The role starts as a part-time position at approximately 30 hours per month, with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity based on project demands. You will work from home for most tasks, using Primavera P6 and other project control tools to develop and manage schedules. The role requires commuting to the greater Philadelphia area for in-person meetings, typically one to two times per month, to participate in project coordination and schedule review sessions. The work centers on transit and rail construction projects, involving close coordination with project stakeholders in a professional, project-driven setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
