Robert Half Legal is recruiting an Associate Attorney to join a growing commercial and intellectual property (IP) litigation practice group at the North Bay office office of a large law firm. This opportunity is well suited for a lawyer with several years of litigation experience who is eager to handle sophisticated disputes and work closely with private-sector clients, including companies in the technology space. The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct collaboration with senior leadership, and the chance to help strengthen an expanding practice.

Responsibilities:

Handle a range of commercial, business, and civil litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution.

Partner closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and support the continued growth of the business litigation practice.

Prepare persuasive motions, pleadings, briefs, and other court filings with strong attention to detail and legal analysis.

Manage written discovery, document review, and fact development to build well-supported litigation positions.

Represent clients in hearings, court appearances, and other proceedings as matters progress.

Work on disputes involving intellectual property, employment-related claims, and other complex business issues.

Communicate effectively with clients, including organizations in the technology sector, to provide practical legal guidance and case updates.

The target salary is $140,000 - 215,000+/yr, DOE, plus sizeable monthly productivity bonuses (ranging from $1,500 - 4,000/month) and a discretionary annual bonus (ranging from $7,000 to $20,000+). Requirements

At least 2 years of experience practicing commercial, IP infringement, and/or complex civil litigation.

Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, and other substantive litigation documents.

Experience managing discovery and supporting all phases of contested matters.

Familiarity with court procedures and confidence participating in hearings or related proceedings.

Background handling intellectual property litigation, employment litigation, or employer-side employment matters is valued.

Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and written advocacy skills.

Interest in advising business clients, particularly businesses in the technology industry.
