What you'll do
The Manager of Ambulatory Nursing Operations provides high-level operational and clinical leadership support to the Director of Ambulatory Nursing. This position stabilizes and advances ambulatory nursing operations by providing direct administrative, clinical, and project management support to the department. Furthermore, the Manager serves as a vital leadership proxy, maintaining operational continuity during leadership transitions and optimizing workforce and quality management across the ambulatory network.
Ensures in the absence of the Director of Ambulatory Nursing that there is department coverage and leadership available as needed.- Ensures the efficient and effective provision of Ambulatory Nursing services at all Bassett affiliate locations through development of collaborative relationships.- Demonstrates leadership in discussions around the strategic planning process; collaborates with departmental and senior management to achieve short and long-range goals. Supports the implementation of strategic business plans that are aligned with the Department's vision, strategic plan and goals.- Supervise assigned clinics on an interim basis when there are manager or supervisor vacancies- Ensure replacement position requests are right-licensed for current clinic services and needs- Track position requests and assists with throughput to keep position turnover efficient- Review replacement position requests that have good productivity data prior to submission to TA Partner- Responsible for collaboration with nursing leadership team to stay up to date with annual policy review- Responsible for tracking audits/tracers through completion/correction- Identify trends for quality/regulatory opportunities through tracers/audits.- Leads assigned workgroups, tracks project timelines, and documents meeting minutes.- Ensures all documentation for competencies (annual/ & 90 day) is up to date- Program Development: Collaborates with the Director of Nursing (DON) to design, implement, and evaluate ambulatory nursing policies and procedures.- Supports clinical development of Acceleration Office initiatives as needed- Quality & Compliance: Ensures nursing practices meet regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, state DOH) and tracks clinical metrics for continuous improvement as needed.- Fosters cohesiveness and flexibility among clinical and support staff.- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the matrix leadership team, promoting, drives, and supporting the overall vision, direction, goals and objectives for the Nursing Department in the Bassett Medical Group including network satellite integrated clinics.- Develop and support service improvements, management systems, expense control programs etc. to ensure achievement of financial objectives.- Prepares timely and accurate reports for senior leadership, as needed.- Proactively identifies potential and actual risks to safety; identifies the underlying causes and makes necessary improvements so risk is reduced.- Maintains administrative policies and procedures and communication systems for the department.- Assists with recruiting of leadership staff within the department.- Monitors accomplishment of agreed upon objectives at the departmental level; and where appropriate, institutes corrective actions, including reallocating resources, reprioritizing, and/or recommending modifications to established plans.
What we need from you
Education/Qualifications:
4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other Management/Healthcare - related is required
Master's Degree in Nursing or other Management/Healthcare - related is preferred
Experience:
5 years of Clinical experience
2 years of Management experience
Licensure/Certificates:
NYS License as a Registered Nurse is required
BLS Certification, required

Physical Requirements:

Pay Transparency
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $109,192.70/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $163,789.06/Yr.
