Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Marketplace, leads assortment strategy and business process improvements to enhance category performance and operational excellence. This role collaborates with merchants and stakeholders to develop data-driven plans, optimize seller performance, and implement innovative solutions aligned with market trends. The position requires expertise in data transformation, negotiation, and strategic business acumen to influence decision-making and drive measurable results. The successful candidate fosters strong partnerships, promotes continuous improvement, and ensures alignment with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism. This is a highly visible role, leading one of the largest L2s across Marketplace!
About the team:
The Marketplace AM team focuses on category growth, seller success, and operational excellence. This team collaborates cross-functionally to drive strategic account management and implement scalable solutions that address seller challenges. It develops engagement strategies to increase seller participation and unlocks opportunities through strong partnerships with internal stakeholders. Utilizing data-driven insights, the team monitors performance against key metrics and supports high-volume sellers. Leading a group of 3-4 associates, the team fosters continuous improvement and operational efficiency to achieve business objectives and enhance marketplace impact.
What you'll do:
Lead assortment strategy development and management for assigned categories, utilizing analytics to optimize product mix and performance.
Drive business process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Extract, transform, and customize data sets to support reporting and decision-making across multiple stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams and external sellers to align strategies and enhance marketplace performance.
Translate market trends and business insights into actionable plans that support growth and operational excellence.
Oversee seller performance evaluation and recommend strategies to improve outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Utilize data analytics tools to generate insights, monitor KPIs, and support evidence-based decision-making.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in assortment strategy management with ability to analyze performance metrics and develop actionable plans.
Strong knowledge of business process improvement methodologies and experience driving organizational change.
Proficiency in data transformation, management, and visualization to support decision-making and reporting.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders to influence outcomes.
Strategic business acumen with ability to translate market trends and business insights into executable initiatives.
Experience in negotiation and managing supplier agreements to achieve favorable results.
Leadership skills to guide teams, foster operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement.
