Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
This role focuses on commercial construction work, including framing, drywall, finish carpentry, concrete work, and installation of doors, windows, and ceilings. You will work as part of a small crew to build and finish metal and wood stud structures while maintaining a safe and organized job site in accordance with OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
Frame and construct metal and wood stud structures according to project specifications.
Install drywall, including hanging, taping, finishing, and painting to a high-quality standard.
Install drop ceilings, cabinetry, millwork, and insulation in commercial environments.
Set and install commercial doors, windows, and related hardware accurately and securely.
Form and finish concrete for foundations and flatwork, ensuring proper alignment and finish.
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate layout, measurements, and construction details.
Follow OSHA safety standards at all times and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout all phases of construction.
Work collaboratively with a crew of 3-4 team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Use and maintain basic hand tools and equipment required for construction and finish carpentry tasks.
Essential Skills
1-5 years of commercial construction or carpentry experience.
Hands-on experience with framing metal and wood studs in commercial settings.
Proficiency in drywall installation, including hanging, finishing, and basic painting.
Experience with finish carpentry, including cabinetry, millwork, and trim installation.
Ability to install drop ceilings, insulation, and related building components.
Experience setting and installing commercial doors, windows, and hardware.
Concrete forming and finishing experience for foundations and flatwork.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
OSHA 10 certification.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to safely use and care for basic hand tools required for construction work.
Strong commitment to job site safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Access to a basic set of hand tools on the first day of work.
Experience working on high-scale commercial construction projects.
Ability to work effectively in small crews and follow direction from site leadership.
Strong attention to detail and quality in finish work and carpentry.

Work Environment
This position is based on commercial construction job sites, working primarily in crews of 3-4 people. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities for overtime as project needs require. The work involves active, hands-on construction tasks such as framing, drywall, concrete work, and finish carpentry, often in partially completed or fully active commercial buildings. You will use standard construction tools and equipment and are expected to bring your own basic hand tools. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to OSHA standards, and teamwork, with all work performed locally to the area.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
