Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Responsibilities You will prepare aircraft records and logbooks in hard copy and automated formats. You will receive aircraft and equipment logbooks, conduct record inventory and flight hour verification. You will receive and download electronic aircraft log sets into Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA). You will screen, update and closeout aircraft records, determine accuracy and completeness. You will create and maintain Record A cards on all aircraft and equipment. You will receive, compile and thoroughly review completed work documents involved with standard and/or special repairs and overhauls to determine all work has been performed and authenticated. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing safety regulations and procedures; Communicating both orally and in writing to provide management advisory services in assigned functions; and preparing written reports and other communications to accomplish the work; Compiling, preparing written reports, input and reviewing data on aircraft and equipment status; Exercising independent judgement, resourcefulness, persuasion, tact and dealing successfully with a variety of people on various matters; Maintaining logbooks documentation of repair processes on multiple aircraft and engines and components; Reviewing technical directives for compliance, screen component record cards for lifecycles, reviewing work orders to determine technical directives are complying, and ensure accuracy and completeness of history cards; AND Acting as principal Point of Contact for logs and records data and matters relative to receipt/delivery status of aircraft/engines/components and equipment. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Highly desirable - A comprehensive knowledge of FRCSW's mission, organization, structure, shop locations, production processes, workload programs and channels of communications. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation. Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified (BQ). A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
