Job Title: Facilities Technician

Job Description

We are hiring a Facilities Technician to support building maintenance and repairs. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and ensuring facilities run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks

Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems

Repair and replace equipment, fixtures, and building components

Use basic tools and technology (iPad, computer, etc.)

Respond to and resolve maintenance issues

Support general building and grounds maintenance

Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas

Requirements:

At least 6+ months of maintenance experience (commercial, hotels, or similar)

Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry

Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

Good communication and customer service skills

Comfortable using basic technology

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in building or hotel maintenance

Knowledge of HVAC systems (rooftop units, VAV boxes)

Experience with preventative maintenance

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor building maintenance

Customer-facing role in residential or hospitality settings

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
