HR Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish) - Entry LevelPosition Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Assistant to support daily human resources operations in a manufacturing/aerospace environment. This role will assist with onboarding, employee records management, payroll and timekeeping support, compliance activities, recruitment coordination, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, and interested in growing a career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support full-cycle onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and system setup.
Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll support for hourly employees.
Support compliance with California labor laws, including meal and rest break requirements, wage and hour regulations, and labor law postings.
Assist with workers' compensation administration, return-to-work coordination, and injury documentation as backup support to the EHS Safety team.
Support recruiting efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Translate HR communications and assist with employee interactions for Spanish-speaking employees.
Provide administrative support for employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
Support ITAR compliance requirements, including employment eligibility verification and required documentation.
Coordinate employee training, safety programs, and compliance-related records.
Assist with HR audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities.
Generate and maintain daily and weekly HR reports.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Minimum of 1 year of HR or administrative experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with a strong interest in beginning a career in Human Resources.
Knowledge of HR processes, employee recordkeeping, and general administrative practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environment.
Familiarity with California labor laws and wage-and-hour regulations.
Experience using HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
Knowledge of ITAR compliance requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
