Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / AP-AR Specialist to join a finance team during an exciting transitional period. This role will work closely with the Senior Accountant and support key accounting functions, including high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, payroll journal entries, data management, and month-end accounting activities.

This role goes beyond traditional invoice processing and provides experience with:

Utilize Excel to manage, upload, and maintain accounting data

Responsibilities:
Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, averaging 100-200 invoices per week
Enter and maintain accounts receivable records, including billing and sales tax-related transactions
Prepare and enter payroll-related journal entries
Utilize Excel to create, manage, and upload accounting data into the Enterprise ERP system
Perform accurate and timely data entry while ensuring data integrity
Assist with month-end close activities and journal entry preparation
Review, reconcile, and maintain accounting records as needed
Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and Finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial processing
Follow established accounting procedures and quickly adapt to new processes and system updates
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, or a similar accounting support role
Strong data entry, organizational, and administrative skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with spreadsheets and templates
Experience using ERP or accounting software systems
Ability to learn new processes quickly and work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience preparing and entering payroll journal entries
Experience handling sales tax transactions
Experience working within an Enterprise ERP environment
Government, municipal, or public-sector accounting experience
Additional accounting coursework or certifications are a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
