The Pharmacy Department at Backus consists of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists who work together in a collaborative team environment meeting the needs of our patients. The Administrative Assistant Contributes to the overall success of the Pharmacy Department by providing multi-dimensional complex administrative support to leadership in a manner which requires self-direction, creativity, and independent and discretionary judgment. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative functions such as: Maintaining leaders calendars, including independently creating, rescheduling, and prioritizing appointments for both internal and external commitments, ensuring priorities are accomplished and unplanned items are address appropriately. Generating correspondence and preparing presentations and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets for data compilation. Responsible for handling confidential information and for exercising appropriate judgment. Education: High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred Experience: 2-5 years administrative support preferably in a health care setting Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal High degree of confidentiality Requirement to register (and train) as a pharmacy technician.
