Annual wage range: $60,967 - $85,354

The City of Casper is looking for a dynamic, creative, and strategic communicator to lead outreach initiatives that make a real impact in our community, especially in support of the Mayor and Council outreach; garbage disposal, recycling, drinking water, sewer, and stormwater services; and recreation facilities and activities. What you'll do: As our Communications & Marketing Generalist, you'll be at the heart of how we connect with Casper's residents. You'll drive public awareness through:

Coordinating impactful marketing and outreach campaigns

Creating engaging content across web, social media, and traditional media

Planning and supporting citywide public engagement events and initiatives

Conducting audience research to tailor our messages better

Responding to media inquiries and serving as a City spokesperson

Elevating our brand through strategic storytelling and digital innovation

Incumbent is responsible for the oversight of all modes of public outreach including marketing, research, and development campaigns. The focus for this position will be for citywide initiatives with special emphasis on assisting revenue-generating enterprises.

Training, Experience & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required. Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in communication, marketing, public relations, or journalism. Public sector/local government experience is preferred. Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as listed below.
