MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Pulaski County Sports and Entertainment is seeking a full-time Marketing and Communications
Manager responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies to
promote sports and entertainment, including the countys venues, events, and community initiatives.
The role involves overseeing brand management, digital marketing, content creation, social media,
advertising, public relations, and promotional campaigns to increase visibility, attendance, and visitor
engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic marketing professional skilled in
managing multiple channels and creating engaging content. Key responsibilities include collaborating
with stakeholders, supporting event promotion, and representing the sports and entertainment
department as a key ambassador. The position reports to the Sports Tourism and Entertainment
Director and requires strong organizational and multitasking skills in a dynamic environment.
This position requires a flexible schedule, occasionally including mornings, evenings, weekends, and
holidays, to support facility operations, tournaments, programs, and special events. Some evening
and weekend attendance is expected to assist with community events and operations. The salary
scale for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 and is commensurate upon education and experience.
Educational Requirements: Applicants need at least three years of experience in marketing,
communications, or digital media, with skills in graphic design, photography, video production, and
social media. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience in
sports, tourism, hospitality, or events, and familiarity with website content management systems, are
pluses.

Supervision Received: Works under the general supervision and receives administrative
oversight from the Sports Tourism and Entertainment Director. Employee will undergo a sixmonth orientation period and will be evaluated at the end of the six-month term. Employee
will be evaluated annually thereafter.
Classification (FLSA): Non-Exempt, Full-Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing, implementing, managing,
and evaluating comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that promote
Pulaski County Sports Tourism and Entertainment, including its venues, events, programs,
partnerships, and community initiatives. This position will oversee the departments integrated
marketing efforts, including brand management, digital marketing, creative design, content
production, social media management, email marketing, website communications,
advertising, public relations and promotional campaigns designed to increase awareness,
drive attendance, attract visitors, support event recruitment efforts, and enhance the overall
visibility of the countys sports and entertainment initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic, and hands-on marketing professional who can
develop compelling content, manage multiple marketing channels, create engaging visual
assets, and translate organizational goals into measurable marketing initiatives.

The Marketing Manager will play a key role in promoting Pulaski County as a destination for
sports, entertainment, and community experiences. This position requires exceptional
organizational skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage
multiple priorities in a fast-paced recreational environment. Essential functions also include
collaborating with staff, partners, sponsors, vendors, and media representatives; supporting
event promotion and sponsorship activation; and serving as a key ambassador for STEA.
Physical presence on the job is required as essential functions and responsibilities are not suited
to remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Strategy and Brand Management
Develop and implement annual marketing plans and strategies aligned with the
departments goals, including sports tourism growth, venue promotion, event
attendance, community engagement, and economic impact
Manage and strengthen the sports and entertainment brand identity across all platforms
and marketing materials
Develop marketing campaig
