The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Lead Activations Specialist for the Marketing Outreach Division, with responsibilities to manage, organize, plan, and coordinate national, regional, and local marketing activities, leading a team of civilian Activations Specialists. Liaison between unit marketing activities and the Marketing Division for marketing campaigns/programs. Responsibilities Serves as a Team Leader to plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Marketing Event Activations team. Plans, coordinates, and executes event planning and execution for regional activations, demonstrations, and public engagements. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and executes regional marketing activities. Acts a liaison across the agency to cultivate relations with other various marketing teams and their leadership. Oversees local and regional activations programs and develops campaigns to complement those events. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative & Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level (or equivalent in other pay systems) in the federal service in which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is experience which includes assisting in the organizing, planning, and coordinating of various local, regional and national marketing activities to include traditional and leading-edge activation methods. The ability to develop effective advertising materials for effectiveness in communicating to different target audiences. Knowledge of marketing and recruitment goals, trends, and strategic philosophy. Ability to apply marketing program concepts, written and oral communication principles, techniques, and analytical methods to perform a wide range of assignments to develop intercommunication between the unit and a variety of stakeholders. Knowledge of contracting process and proper behavior when dealing with contractors. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to include preparing briefings, talking papers or other products describing or highlighting programs. Knowledge to effectively analyze, plan, organize and execute a budget plan in support of marketing activities. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
