Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob Description
This role supports complex construction projects within a fast-paced semiconductor environment by managing project documentation, coordinating between office and field teams, and ensuring accurate and timely project execution. The Construction Project Engineer works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project flow, support estimating and procurement activities, and uphold high standards of quality and organization across all phases of construction.
Responsibilities
Prepare, manage, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other construction documentation using Excel and project management software.
Support quantity takeoffs, estimating activities, and materials analysis for assigned scopes of work.
Coordinate daily activities between office teams and field leadership, assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent with communication, scheduling, and task follow-through.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and other construction documents to support field and office decision-making.
Assist with procurement activities, including maintaining document logs, updating records, and preparing reports to ensure continuous project flow.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in all project documentation, consistently prioritizing correctness and detail over speed.
Maintain proactive, professional communication with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.
Assist with project setup, including jobsite logistics planning, documentation preparation, and coordination of initial project requirements.
Support project closeout by organizing and compiling required documentation, ensuring all records are complete and properly filed.
Contribute to project coordination and project management efforts, helping to align schedules, resources, and deliverables in a deadline-driven environment.
Act as a client-facing representative when needed, interacting professionally with end clients and supporting clear, responsive communication.
Leverage Microsoft Office, including Excel, and construction software tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms to manage data and documentation.
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer or in a closely related construction engineering role.
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and basic construction workflows.
Hands-on experience managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders in a fast-paced construction environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
Demonstrated ability to support project management and project coordination activities on active construction projects.
High level of organization, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to documentation accuracy.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact confidently in client-facing situations.
Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining trainable and adaptable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background or experience in construction management or related disciplines.
Experience working on semiconductor or similarly complex, technical construction projects.
Familiarity with contracts and standard construction documentation processes.
Exposure to estimation practices, including quantity takeoffs and materials analysis.
Interest in specializing within a niche construction discipline and developing deep expertise over time.
Desire to learn, grow, and advance within an organization that emphasizes mentorship and internal career development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
