Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Nutrition Lab Manager for The Children's Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN , the region's only comprehensive pediatric center and highest-level pediatric provider. This role supports a nationally recognized academic medical center with a Level IV NICU and a broad range of pediatric subspecialty services.

The ideal candidate has experience in a nutrition lab, milk room, formula room, or NICU environment,and has with demonstrated experience as a strong team leader who has successfully guided, coached, and supported hourly staff.

What You'll Do

Oversee operations of the milk lab, ensuring safe, accurate preparation and handling of formula and human milk

Lead, coach, and support milk lab staff to ensure consistent performance and teamwork

Manage staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and competency validation

Monitor quality, safety, and workflow processes; drive continuous improvement

Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and tracking related to milk lab operations

What You Bring

Exerience working in a nutrition lab or milk room

Professional team leader with demonstrated success guiding, coaching, and supporting hourly staff

Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation

Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Previous experience in a hospital or pediatric setting preferred

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
