Insurance Operations Analyst (Financial Services)

Cohoes, NY (In-Office) - Must reside within a commutable distance

$54-65K+/year

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building a career in financial services operations? We are partnering with a globally recognized financial institution to hire an Insurance Operations Analyst supporting insurance implementation and operational processes within a financial counseling organization.

This is an operations-focused role responsible for reviewing documentation, processing insurance-related requests, coordinating with external carriers, and ensuring transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working with established processes, managing details, collaborating with multiple teams, and delivering high-quality support in a regulated financial environment.

As an Insurance Operations Analyst, you'll be provided an opportunity to develop expertise in insurance operations, client service support, and financial services processes.

What You'll Do

Review and process insurance applications and related requests according to established procedures

Coordinate with third-party insurance carriers to support timely and accurate implementation

Maintain accurate records and update information across multiple systems and platforms

Perform quality reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to operational standards

Track and manage workflow items, including status updates and annual client communications

Partner with internal teams and external providers to resolve processing questions and operational issues

Identify potential discrepancies or unusual activity and escalate concerns appropriately

Support operational initiatives and special projects as needed

Follow company policies and procedures related to quality, compliance, information security, and client service

We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Strong judgment and problem-solving skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners

Previous experience in operations, insurance, financial services, banking, or administrative support is a plus
