Job Description:

Performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards.

Conducts and validates various chemical quality control (QC) testing.

Compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.

May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting testing and writing standard operating procedures.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree.

Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.

Works under direct supervision.

Description:

Technician will perform routine quality control (QC) testing of PPG urethane materials per testing specifications.

The role will focus on material handling, use of testing equipment, documentation of test results, and support in updating testing specifications.

Technician will have routine communication with manufacturing operators, quality, supply chain, engineering, and S&T focals to test and confirm incoming materials are compliant for use in manufacturing of aerospace transparencies.
