About this position
The overall function of this position is to serve as a Stockroom Clerk in a District wide Stockroom in District 61/Unit 001/Accounting Section. This position is located in the at the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to the Administrative Program Manager 2. Serves as lead over Administrative Coordinator 2.

Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Process purchases within delegated authority, ensuring compliance with state purchasing laws, bid requirements, and procurement procedures.
Create and manage purchase requisitions, shopping carts, stock transfer reservations, and inventory transactions using LaGOV, SAP (ECC), and related modules (e.g., MIGO, MB51, MB22, ME52N).
Order inventory from the central warehouse, coordinate deliveries, receive shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Organize and maintain the stockroom, including unloading deliveries, storing materials, and ensuring accountability for all inventory.
Monitor inventory levels by issuing stock, recording transactions, performing weekly/monthly inventory counts, and preparing reports for annual audits.
Research product specifications, verify item details (size, quantity, color, dimensions), and ensure accurate ordering and delivery locations.
Research state contracts, obtain vendor quotes, communicate with suppliers, track orders, verify invoices, and maintain vendor records.
Notify departments when ordered materials are available and reconcile purchase orders by verifying invoices and closing requisitions after payment.
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts when required, and support loading, unloading, and distribution of supplies.
Provide additional operational support as needed, including emergency or disaster response activities and other assigned duties.

Work Schedule:7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Compensation: $15.76 hourly/1,260.80 biweekly
