Job Responsibilities
40% Tactical Implementation: Serve as marketing project manager to lead the implementation the effective execution of approved marketing programs for Travel. Provide support for the execution of Insurance or ancillary business line needs, such as Automotive, Financial Services, and Driver Programs, as needed. Coordinate with multiple vendors and internal partners in accordance with budgeted expenses, stated goals, and objectives. Collaborate with Business Intelligence teams for data needs and Sales and Service teams to ensure preparedness to support Marketing. Partner with the marketing colleagues and agency partners to ensure branding and messaging resonates with intended audiences, to include editing and proofreading copy across multiple channels for grammar, clarity, and effectiveness.
20% Budget & Expense Management: Work with marketing strategy team, the finance team, and business line leaders to inform and recommend appropriate marketing budgets. Implement strategies and plans with strict adherence to approved budgets. Facilitate the effective usage of individual travel vendor co-op marketing funds. Meticulously track expenses including purchase order requests, invoicing, and monthly reconciliation. Collaborate with managers to ensure regular, accurate forecasting across multiple marketing budgets.
20% Travel Marketing Strategy & Planning: Serve as the marketing lead and point person dedicated to the Travel line of business. Responsible for guiding the Travel marketing strategy as part of the Club's overarching marketing strategy. Develop quarterly and annual Travel marketing plans, conduct and utilize market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data. Partner with travel vendors, agencies, and creative teams to identify brand and campaign concepts to best convey the Club's values proposition. Determine channel strategies and best practices for reaching target audiences, set Key Performance Indicators to gauge success and inform further optimizations. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners and contribute to content development.
20% Performance Reporting: Create and maintain regular reporting on campaign and program performance metrics, such as response rates, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, and results of multi-variate tests. Provide insights on online behaviors and trends observed through web analytics. Develop multiple reports that are consistent in results but vary in level of detail depending on audience. Provide detailed reports for lower-level tactical decision-making and higher-level summaries for executives.
Job Specific Requirements
Thorough understanding of marketing planning and tactical elements including traditional and digital marketing and market research methods
Ability to build and manage annual marketing budgets and forecasts
Experience using analytics software such as Google or Adobe Analytics
Knowledge using Content Managing Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Adobe, and Drupal
Strong understanding of email platforms such as HubSpot
Familiarity with various @types of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Project Management tools
Expertise in ad serving tools, media buying tactics and best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong copywriting and editing skills, and ability to make copy changes as needed
Working knowledge of design, brand development, and the creative process
Demonstrated ability to independently manage day-to-day production and fulfillment activities with in-depth knowledge of marketing activities and data-driven marketing
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform routine office tasks that includes operating a computer for long periods of time, sitting, filing and communicating on the phone
Ability to perform all physical functions consistent with travel including sitting in airplanes and driving for long periods of time
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull a maximum of 30 lbs
