In this hands-on leadership role, you will actively engage on the warehouse floor to oversee daily operations for our Inventory and Parcel departments. Directly managing a team of 1015 employees, you will combine floor-level leadership with administrative strategyfrom mastering ERP inventory tracking to coaching your staffgiving you the autonomy to drive excellence for a company you truly have a stake in. Essential Functions Daily Operations: Supervise daily operations of Inventory and Parcel departments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence. Team Leadership: Lead hiring, training, and development of staff; manage performance through coaching, feedback, and evaluations. Performance Tracking: Monitor productivity and service levels, implementing improvements to meet or exceed targets. Receiving: Oversee receiving processes to ensure accurate and timely material intake. Facility Management: Maintain warehouse organization, optimize storage utilization, and ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Inventory Control: Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and ERP system management. Problem Solving: Proactively address material shortages to prevent disruptions to operations. Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and support production order prioritization to ensure on-time shipping. Auditing: Support year-end physical inventory and audit processes. Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Continuous Improvement: Participate in special projects and operational improvement initiatives. Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. Keep records of employees\' attendance and hours worked. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, or fabricators. Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers. Evaluate employee performance. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads. Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results. Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Set up and adjust machines and equipment. Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, or promotions. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: JOB COMPETENCIES: 1. Work in a team environment EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent is strongly preferred Over 3 years and up to including 7 years\' experience is preferred 1-2 years of related experience preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS: Read, write and understand English MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate simple math Ability to add/subtract and multiply fractions REASONING ABILITY: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Forklift certified Familiar with inventory/warehouse programs Computer literate Microsoft Office Safety cognizant Product knowledge PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
