Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role is a full-time warehouse worker position running from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will support both warehouse and production operations by handling materials, preparing and processing shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation for all receiving, shipping, and inventory activities. The position includes cross-training in manufacturing production, where you will assist with packing, repacking, and filling personal care products.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of basic warehouse duties to support daily operations.
Load and unload products safely and efficiently from trucks and other transport vehicles.
Palletize products in an organized and secure manner for storage and shipment.
Prepare products for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging orders.
Print labels and apply them accurately to products and packaging.
Use computers to print labels, check inventory levels, and update inventory records.
Operate RF scanners to perform inventory checks, order picking, and tracking of materials.
Ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents, including counts and descriptions of materials.
Support timely shipment, receipt, and transfer of finished products and raw materials.
Accurately complete all required documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
Cross-train between manufacturing production and warehouse functions to provide flexible support.
Work in production areas performing packing, repacking, and filling of personal care products as needed.
Assist with inventory picking, pulling, and order fulfillment based on written pick lists.
Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and inventory checks.
Handle materials and products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), especially within cosmetics production environments.
Support general labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing products and materials.
Follow established procedures for shipping and receiving to maintain product quality and traceability.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to coordinate warehouse and production activities.
Adhere to all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and help maintain a safe work environment.
Assist wherever needed in both the warehouse and production floors to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Skills
Experience performing material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving products within a warehouse environment.
Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and packaging orders in a warehouse or production setting.
Background in shipping and receiving, including handling documentation and verifying incoming and outgoing materials.
Ability to perform inventory counts and participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
Comfort working with computers for label printing, inventory checks, and data entry.
Experience using RF scanners for inventory, order picking, and tracking materials.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, labeling, and inventory records.
Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks and collaborate effectively with team members.
Math skills sufficient for pen-and-paper picking, pulling, and inventory calculations.
Ability to lift and move materials as part of general labor and warehouse duties.
Lead experience and comfort training others in warehouse or production processes.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), particularly in cosmetics or personal care product environments.
Ability to work safely around large pumps, tanks, piping systems, and production equipment.
Capability to work in hot, wet, and sometimes dirty conditions while maintaining safety and productivity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a personal care product or chemical manufacturing environment is a strong plus.
Prior experience as a warehouse worker or warehouse associate handling order picking, loading, and packing.
Exposure to ERP systems and inventory management software such as SAP is beneficial.
Experience with inventory picking and pulling in a high-volume warehouse operation.
Background in production support, including warehouse packing and assisting on production floors.
Knowledge of GMP specific to cosmetics manufacturing is considered a valuable asset.
Comfort working with forklifts or other material handling equipment in a warehouse setting.
Ability to adapt to cross-training and support multiple areas of operations as business needs require.

Work Environment
The role is based in a personal care product manufacturing facility that operates similarly to many chemical plants, but the products handled are not harmful. There are three different production floors: one with large pumps and tanks, and two with extensive piping systems. Conditions can be very hot during the summer, and floors may be dirty and wet, requiring consistent attention to safety. You will split time between the warehouse and the production floors, assisting wherever needed and working around industrial equipment and active manufacturing processes. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and hard hats. The standard schedule runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing a structured daytime work pattern in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
