Summary This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Service (PDS), Data and Analytics (DA). PDS is responsible for comprehensive portfolio management and delivers products utilizing Software as a Service (SaaS), low-code, shared delivery infrastructure, and highly differentiated products, providing key applications and data to our customers. Major Duties: Knowledge of architectural methodologies used in the design and development of information systems, including the physical structure of a systems' internal operations and interactions with other systems. Oversees the employment of tools and methods to develop program/project plans and reviews technology investment decisions and serves as a senior technology advisor to the Director, leveraging knowledge of and experience with complex and highly technical projects. AND Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: experience in a technical leadership role including engineering or architecture of cloud- native Master Data Management (MDM) services that create authoritative records while synchronizing mastered data across diverse source and consumer systems through event- driven and change data capture (CDC), Extract-Transform-Load (ETL), and Extract-Load-Transform (ELT) patterns. This experience includes leading the development of data APIs (e.g., REST) as products. Candidates must also demonstrate leadership of platform operations (observability and incident response, capacity planning and resilience) with adherence to availability, latency, and data correctness standards. Candidates must have demonstrated experience evaluating technical products and software implementation approaches to solve complex business issues, presenting options to team members and leadership to determine a path forward.
