Summary This job opportunity is for an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, position description NGD2934000, within the 141 ARF SQ of the New Jersey Air National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to supervise, establish and direct a planned, systematic approach of a quality assurance program designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence in aircraft, aircraft systems, products or supporting processes. Responsibilities As an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9, you will: Provide preflight briefings to military aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans reviews and evaluates aircrew currencies and orders Provide preflight briefings to military and civilian aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans Perform the testing, and evaluation of new ARMS patches, updates, or releases and performs the Installation of ARMS on computers for new users or on replacement equipment Control and monitor the resource and training requirements of assigned rated and non-rated aircrew for mission accomplishment and safety of flight Work independently to provide aircrew with information and assistance for planning and conducting safe flight operations Perform other Duties as Assigned Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Requirements Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Areas of Consideration: T32-CAT 4 Individuals eligible for membership in the New Jersey National Guard Military Grades: A1C/E-3 to SSgt/E-5 Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade Compatible Military Assignments: 1C0X2 Selectee has one (1) year to obtain required AFSC Security Clearance: Must have Security Clearance OR willing to obtain it within one (1) year of employment. Additional Employment Requirements: Participation in direct deposit is mandatory May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a military unit compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position. Military Unit -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Qualifications General Experience: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures and using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in the following: Arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight. Pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers. Coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.
