THE WORK:
You'll lead field execution of transmission and distribution capital projects from construction mobilization through project completion.
You'll coordinate daily construction activities among contractors, engineering teams, operations personnel, and client stakeholders.
You'll monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
You'll conduct field inspections, constructability reviews, and site walkdowns to verify work quality and project readiness.
You'll support project planning by providing construction expertise during design reviews, outage planning, and work package development.
You'll identify field issues and coordinate timely resolution to minimize impacts to project cost and schedule.
You'll review field change requests, contractor documentation, and construction progress to ensure accurate project reporting.
You'll facilitate construction coordination meetings and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to project leadership.
You'll promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, client safety requirements, and established construction best practices.
You'll support project turnover activities, punch list completion, commissioning coordination, and project closeout.
Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of experience managing utility transmission and distribution construction projects
Demonstrated experience overseeing transmission line, substation, and distribution construction activities
Strong understanding of utility construction methods, outage coordination, contractor management, and field execution
Experience managing multiple contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams
Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build effective working relationships with client personnel, contractors, and project teams
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Central Louisiana
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience supporting large electric utility capital programs for an EPC firm
Experience with grid modernization devices and systems
OSHA 30 certification or equivalent construction safety training
Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Maximo, or other project management systems
Experience supporting commissioning, energization planning, and project turnover activities
Previous supervisory experience leading construction management teams
