Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of industrial electromechanical and control systems used in production environments. This role focuses on day-to-day diagnostics and corrective maintenance of low and high voltage equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), motors, drives, robotics, and automation systems. The technician works both independently and collaboratively with production teams to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and keep systems aligned with engineering specifications and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and install low and high voltage industrial electromechanical and control systems for production equipment.
Work independently to diagnose and resolve issues with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related components.
Identify causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions or failures in equipment and systems, and repair or replace defective components.
Disassemble, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components as needed to restore equipment to proper operation.
Read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches to diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs.
Interface with equipment operators and production leadership to understand equipment issues and determine effective corrective actions.
Use sensing and control devices to monitor equipment performance and implement control solutions.
Work with DC and AC motors, variable frequency drives (VF drives), and servo-controlled systems from manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens.
Apply a complete understanding of factory electrical machinery systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V.
Utilize knowledge of relay and discrete device control systems to install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering design requirements and Federal and State codes.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications in accordance with facility standards.
Participate in ongoing training and coursework to stay current with advancing technologies and industry best practices.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens systems.
Strong background in industrial electrical and mechanical service and maintenance.
Complete understanding of factory electrical machinery systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage ranging from 24V to 480V.
Solid knowledge of relay and discrete device control systems.
Hands-on experience using sensing and control devices in industrial environments.
Experience working with both DC and AC motors, variable frequency drives (VF drives), and servo-controlled systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical and control systems independently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
background in Programmable Logic Controllers, computer systems, and electronics.
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a production environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with equipment operators and production personnel to gather information and explain repairs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent technical education is preferred.
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens automation platforms.
Experience using MS Office applications is preferred.
MIG/TIG welding experience is preferred.
PLC certificate is preferred.
Willingness to take courses and participate in ongoing training to keep up with advancing technologies.
Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred.
Familiarity with robotics and automation systems.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in industrial equipment.
Ability to coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with engineering design and relevant codes.

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial production facility with a mix of electromechanical, robotic, and automated systems. You will regularly work with factory electrical machinery operating on DC and AC voltages from 24V to 480V, relay-based control systems, sensing and control devices, and motors with variable frequency drives and servo controls from manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens. The environment involves hands-on work with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding equipment, and fabrication tools, as well as the use of computer systems and MS Office for documentation and communication. Work typically takes place on the production floor and in maintenance areas, requiring appropriate safety practices, personal protective equipment, and adherence to Federal and State codes and facility procedures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Medical, Dental, Vision, ESOP - Quarterly Profit Sharing up to 10% of salary, has been hitting avg 5%.
