Job Title: Maintenance Electrician (union shop)
Job Description
This role supports a manufacturing facility by maintaining and repairing electrical systems, power distribution, and production equipment to ensure reliable operation and consistent production uptime. You will work hands-on with 480V industrial systems, electrical controls, and facility equipment, diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing repairs in a fast-paced industrial environment. The position suits someone who works independently, identifies problems quickly, and safely restores equipment to service.
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 480V industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, wiring, and manufacturing equipment.
Install, test, and maintain electrical controls such as relays, motor starters, and control panels to support production operations.
Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and facility electrical systems to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
Use voltmeters and other electrical testing tools to diagnose electrical issues on machines and facility systems.
Maintain and repair facility electrical systems, including lighting, compressors, and related power distribution equipment.
Support and troubleshoot 3-phase power systems, motors, drives, and associated control equipment.
Assist with maintenance of air and gas systems, including compressors and related infrastructure.
Perform mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment and support repairs involving pneumatics and hydraulics.
Contribute to fabrication, welding, and basic machine shop tasks as needed to support equipment repair and modification.
Document work performed using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and follow established maintenance procedures.
Apply OSHA electrical safety practices while working on energized and de-energized equipment.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous operation of the facility.
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience working with 480V industrial power systems, wiring, and manufacturing equipment.
Hands-on experience installing, testing, and maintaining relays, motor starters, and electrical controls.
Proficiency with preventative maintenance programs for production machinery and facility systems.
Ability to use voltmeters and electrical testing tools to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience maintaining facility electrical systems, including lighting, compressors, and power distribution.
Knowledge of 3-phase power, motors and drives, and control panels.
Understanding of OSHA electrical safety practices in an industrial environment.
Industrial maintenance experience supporting production machinery and facility infrastructure.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial setting and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics in an industrial maintenance setting.
Welding experience using gas or electric processes.
Machine shop and fabrication experience to support equipment repair and modification.
Familiarity with air and gas systems, including compressors and related equipment.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for documenting maintenance activities.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to support both electrical and mechanical repairs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr.
