Position Overview MountainOne\'s Marketing team plays a key role in strengthening our brand, supporting business growth, and fostering meaningful connections throughout the communities we serve. As a Marketing & Community Engagement Intern, you\'ll help bring those efforts to life. Working alongside experienced marketing professionals, you\'ll support community events, create engaging content, assist with marketing campaigns, and contribute to initiatives that enhance MountainOne\'s visibility and reputation. This role offers hands-on experience across marketing, communications, social media, public relations, content creation, and community engagement. You\'ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute creative ideas, and gain exposure to how marketing supports both business objectives and community impact. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative, self-motivated individual who enjoys storytelling, content creation, and community involvement and is eager to develop professional skills in a collaborative environment. What You\'ll Do Responsibilities include: - Assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of community events, sponsorships, volunteer activities, and other engagement initiatives. - Creating content for social media, internal communications, and marketing campaigns, including writing, photography, graphic design, and video. - Monitoring marketing and social media trends while identifying opportunities for creative content, community storytelling, and audience engagement. - Assisting with public relations efforts, community outreach initiatives, and special projects that enhance MountainOne\'s visibility and reputation. - Supporting MountainOne\'s Storybook Program and other community-focused initiatives through event coordination, promotional activities, and occasional mascot appearances at community events. - Conducting research, compiling data, and assisting with reporting to support marketing and business development initiatives. - Managing promotional inventory and helping prepare materials for events, meetings, and community programs. - Collaborating with team members across the organization while contributing creative ideas and fresh perspectives to ongoing projects. Position Requirements What We\'re Looking For We\'re looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and gain real-world experience in a professional environment. Ideal candidates are: - Creative, curious, and self-motivated, with a willingness to take initiative and bring new ideas to the table. - Strong communicators, both written and verbal, with excellent grammar and professional communication skills. - Strong storytellers with an eye for design, photography, and content creation. - Organized and dependable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. - Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design software is highly desirable. - Community-minded, with a passion for giving back and representing MountainOne in a professional manner. - Ability to work regularly in our North Adams office and travel locally throughout Berkshire County for events and community activities, with reliable transportation. - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with familiarity using social media platforms. - Enrolled in a two- or four-year college program, preferably studying Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field. - Physical requirements include the ability to lift, bend, and stand as needed for event setup and community activities. Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events is also required.
