The Role
The Central Services - Sales Specialist is responsible for driving incremental revenue across Hyatt Studios and Hyatt Select hotels by strategically managing Group and Transient sales opportunities throughout the entire sales lifecycle. Serving as an extension of each hotel's sales team, this role requires a strong understanding of the mid-scale segment, including its customer base, market trends, and revenue opportunities.
As a trusted sales partner, the Sales Specialist manages a dynamic pipeline of opportunities by qualifying leads, building client relationships, preparing compelling proposals, negotiating and contracting business, and guiding opportunities from inquiry through conversion. Leveraging Hyatt sales platforms-including Envision, Lanyon, and other sales technologies-the Sales Specialist ensures timely, strategic follow-up that maximizes conversion, supports hotel-specific sales goals, and delivers measurable revenue results.
The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in Group and Transient sales funnel management, excels in managing a high-volume pipeline, and consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, effective prioritization, and a proven ability to support mid-scale hotels while applying Hyatt systems and sales strategies to grow market share and top-line revenue.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
-Previous Hyatt Select Service and/or upper-midscale experience required
-A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
-Refined verbal and written communication skills
-Strong organization and presentation skills
-Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
-Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
-A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
-Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Envision, Lanyon Opera, and Cvent
Experience Preferred:
-Bachelor's degree
The salary range for this position is $75,000-$80,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
