Description
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our AWS Telco Industry Solutions team. In this role, you will design and build repeatable, reusable, and scalable solutions that address critical challenges across the telecommunications industry, including networking, OSS/BSS systems, and customer experience platforms.
As an SDE2, you will will be responsible to gather requirements, architect solutions, and deliver end-to-end implementations that leverage AWS services. You will be responsible for translating complex telco domain requirements into robust technical solutions that can be scaled across multiple customers and use cases.
Key job responsibilities
Design and develop scalable, reusable solutions for telecommunications industry domains including networking infrastructure, Operations Support Systems (OSS), Business Support Systems (BSS), and customer experience platforms
Engage with telco customers to gather technical requirements, understand business objectives, and define solution architectures
Lead end-to-end delivery of customer solutions from initial design through implementation, testing, and production deployment
Build frameworks and patterns, including Agentic-AI, that can be leveraged across multiple telecommunications customers and use cases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, solutions architects, and customer success to ensure successful outcomes
Contribute to the development of best practices, reference architectures, and technical documentation for telco industry solutions
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
