JOB REQUIREMENTS: SALARY RANGE \$20.65-\$24.29/h WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS As a function of the Waupaca County Clerk\'s Department, this position performs a variety of clerical work in keeping official records and confidential records for the County Board and the County Clerk. Employees in this class shall be deputized to make legal actions effective. This position assists in the duties under WI State Statutes, Ch. 59. This position works under the direct supervision of the County Clerk. CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION Responsible for clerical work, which includes but is not limited to receiving the public, answering phones, customer assistance, cashiering, data processing, and bookkeeping. Prepares, posts, @types and distributes agendas, and files minutes for all County Board Committees. Maintains WisVote program for State of Wisconsin and assist in all aspects of elections. Maintains and accounts for the countywide dog license fees and issuances of licenses and supplies. Issues marriage license to eligible applicants as well as being certified to issue passports as the County Clerk\'s office is an acceptance agent for US Passports. Webmaster for the County Clerk website assuring accurate placements of agendas, minutes calendar events, and useful public information. PERIPHERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices. EXPERIENCE: Two years of clerical experience. Experience in a governmental public setting, previous election and/or WisVote experience preferred, but not required. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to @type 40 words per minute accurately. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing. Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; some knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Ability to perform accurate cashier duties. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
