Summary This Lead Transportation Assistant position is located in the Travel Section of the Business Office at the White River Junction VA Healthcare System in White River Junction, Vermont. The position is full time, at 40 hours per week. Responsibilities The incumbent works with the Supervisor on workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, and quality improvement implementation, modification of processes, evaluation, and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Travel Service(VTS) Support Services Program. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Assists with planning and directing programs that provide Veteran Travel Service(VTS) support services. Provides advisory services to internal and external customers. Coordinates day to day program flow, processes and functions of the Beneficiary Travel Self Service System (BTSSS), electronic Claims Adjudication Management System (eCAMS), and VetRide scheduling software . Provides technical and management guidance necessary to achieve optimum use of service resources. Collect, compiles, and tracks data and statistical information to support Veterans Transportation Service (VTS). Receives and verifies accuracy and completeness of workload. Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track progress, milestones, performance measures, clinic trends as it pertains to health and travel benefits. Uses Veterans Health Information System & Technological Architecture (VistA, Computerized Patient Record Systems (CPRS), eCAMS, Beneficiary Travel Self Service System (BTSSS), or SharePoint Consult/Request Tracking System to process internal consultations. Plans and provides support services for program areas. The employee is knowledgeable of overall facility and network goals, missions, and priorities to ensure that patient transportation supports other programs. Incumbent must have an extensive knowledge of VA laws, directives, policies and procedures, incumbent must have a strong attention to detail as related to VA healthcare and Beneficiary Travel. Must be able to ascertain number of family dependents, income levels, and other information to substantiate a Veteran's ability to pay.
