Summary About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available. Position may be filled at the GS-06 or GS-07 grade level, management may select at any of the grade levels. Responsibilities Functions as a Government Purchase Card holder, contract administrator, hand receipt holder, and key custodian. Independently manages a comprehensive inventory program. Develops and implements internal procedures for the requisition, receipt, storage, and issuance of all supplies and equipment. Requisitions and picks up supplies and/or equipment from various supply sources. Processes the shipment and turn-in of supply and equipment, collecting and analyzing data. Maintains supply documents, records and stocks per regulatory requirements. As Hand Receipt Holder, manages inventory and maintains records for property book items. Operates a computer for purposes of: input/retrieval, development and manipulation of data to produce reports, forms, charts, graphs, and other statistical data, and to update information/data pertaining to specific specialty areas. Serves as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder to make micro-purchases of standard and non-standard supplies, equipment, furniture, and services. Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing automated supply systems to account for organization property; 2) Preparing reports for lost, damaged or destroyed property; 3) Answering inquiries from customers regarding the status of supply requisitions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) maintaining a complete record of supplies and equipment used by the organization; 2) providing technical supply assistance to customers; and 3) applying supply regulations to complete work tasks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
