Job Description
The Test Technician performs hands-on testing, calibration, and inspection of radiation products and electro-mechanical assemblies in a production environment. This role follows defined procedures and specifications to ensure products meet quality and performance standards, while also contributing to process and product improvements through systematic problem solving and analysis.
Responsibilities
Perform product testing in a production environment according to defined processes, procedures, and specifications for radiation products.
Calibrate and test products using radiation sources in a controlled and compliant manner.
Test parts of systems and complete systems, including modules and electro-mechanical assemblies, within typical and defined test times.
Monitor and record product performance during testing, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of results.
Communicate test status, findings, and issues clearly to team members and leaders.
Deliver tested modules and electro-mechanical assemblies on time and with the required quality standards.
Perform activities strictly based on established procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Use test equipment, tools, and automated equipment to perform electrical, mechanical, and functional tests.
Independently trace and analyze issues to identify root causes and support problem resolution.
Interpret electrical, mechanical, and software technical data, including product documentation, flowcharts, and drawings, to support testing and troubleshooting.
Contribute to continuous improvement of products and related processes by identifying opportunities and suggesting enhancements.
Apply systematic problem-solving methods to address product and process issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with workplace standards.
Handle, move, and set up components and equipment safely, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 40 pounds.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or a related field.
Knowledge of mechanical and/or electronics testing in a production or lab environment.
Ability to operate automated equipment used for testing and production support.
Ability to analyze and interpret electrical, mechanical, and software-related technical data.
Mechanical proficiency, including working with electro-mechanical assemblies.
Experience using electronic test equipment and tools for inspection, testing, and repair.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate test execution, documentation, and quality inspection.
Systematic problem-solving skills using product documentation, flowcharts, and technical drawings.
Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient in completing assigned tasks.
Flexibility and positive attitude toward changes in processes, priorities, and work assignments.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment under various temperature conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating automated equipment is a plus.
Experience with electronics, including testing and repair, is beneficial.
Familiarity with quality inspection practices and standards.
Soldering experience for basic electronic repairs and rework.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Demonstrated initiative, ownership mindset, and willingness to take responsibility for outcomes.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving production needs and process improvements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
