Position Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating material flow to support production schedules and customer requirements. This role works closely with manufacturing, procurement, inventory control, and suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve supply chain issues.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain material plans to support production schedules and customer demand.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate material availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Review and manage material requirements, shortages, and replenishment activities.
Coordinate with suppliers to track deliveries, expedite critical materials, and resolve supply issues.
Collaborate with production, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure alignment of supply and demand.
Analyze inventory, forecast, and planning data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) to manage material planning, inventory transactions, and reporting.
Monitor supplier performance and communicate material status updates to key stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, planning processes, and supply chain efficiency.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to address production challenges and supply chain concerns.
Maintain accurate planning data, including lead times, safety stock levels, and material master information.
Assist in resolving material shortages and production disruptions through proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of material planning, production planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or related experience.
Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow within a production environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working directly with manufacturing teams and on the production floor when necessary.
Work Environment
This role is fully onsite in Fitchburg and requires a strong presence on the production floor and in the supermarket area to stay closely connected to how materials are consumed and replenished. You will work within a modern, cloud-based ERP environment, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and engage daily with AI-driven data, MRP tools, and reporting dashboards. The work setting is highly collaborative, bringing together Materials, Production, Sales, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain team members. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.25/hr.
