Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator
Job Description
Operate a variety of double-wide and multi-stage forklifts to safely load, unload, and move palletized beverage products throughout large, temperature-controlled warehouse facilities. This role focuses on efficient handling of full pallet loads of beer, wine, soft drinks, and spirits, while using RF scanning systems to maintain accurate inventory and support smooth distribution operations across multiple locations.
Shift
?Day Shift 5:00am - 1:30 PM + OT Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
Operate double-wide forklifts and 2-, 3-, and 4-stage sit-down electric lifts to move full pallet loads safely and efficiently.
Load and unload freight trucks and rail cars containing beer, wine, soft drinks, spirits, and related beverage products.
Transport palletized inventory throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and organization in storage areas.
Use RF scanning systems and scannable barcodes on floors and placards to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing loads and updating inventory systems as required.
Handle material storage, picking, packing, and order fulfillment in accordance with warehouse procedures.
Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to support daily warehouse operations.
Follow established safety protocols when operating equipment and moving products, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work area.
Support production and stockroom activities by replenishing materials and organizing products for easy access.
Collaborate with leads and supervisors to meet productivity goals and adapt to changing operational needs across multiple warehouse locations.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience working in a distribution facility with a focus on forklift operation.
Proficiency operating sit-down electric forklifts, including double-wide and 2/3/4 stage lifts.
Demonstrated experience loading and unloading freight trucks and rail cars with palletized goods.
Ability to safely move and stack full pallet loads using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
Experience using RF scanners and barcode systems to track inventory and product movement.
Knowledge of basic shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
Strong material handling skills, including storage, picking, packing, and order fulfillment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established warehouse procedures.
Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with beverage products such as beer, wine, soft drinks, and spirits in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Experience in inventory control and stockroom operations.
Familiarity with production support activities in a warehouse environment.
Comfort working in large, high-volume facilities with multiple locations.
Interest in growing into lead, shift lead, or management roles as opportunities arise.

Work Environment
Work in large, modern warehouse facilities maintained at a comfortable 60 degrees year-round with temperature-controlled air. The environment is high-volume and fast-paced, surrounded by extensive inventory of beer, wine, soft drinks, and spirits. Operations span three locations, including sites on Swan Island and Marine Drive, and rely heavily on sit-down electric forklifts, RF scanning systems, and barcode-based inventory tracking. The setting emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork within a spacious, organized distribution footprint.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
