What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate site contacts.

Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.

Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, damaged barriers, and/or maintenance concerns that could affect location operations.

Support operational continuity by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and assisting with incident response, evacuations, and/or restricted area control when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Guard card is required.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
