Take ownership and responsibility over all warehouse and inventory control activities. The warehouse manager is expected to do the daily work alongside other associates including delivery drivers and other warehouse personnel. The position requires daily receiving, stock put away, linking backorders to sales orders, coordinating delivery of multiple dynamic delivery routes, picking orders, load delivery vehicles, and occasionally deliver material to job sites safely, accurately, and efficiently. Communicate all possible process improvements with the Profit Center Manager. Build and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers. Be the last line of defense against order errors by assisting in the double check process of ever order. Effectively communicate inventory, receiving, and order issues with Operations Specialist and Profit Center Manager. Ensure vehicles and forklift get serviced regularly at correct intervals. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
Specific Job Duties:
Learn and build upon a working knowledge of all warehouse inventory and bin locations.
Check-in freight daily, ensuring we receive the correct material in the right quantities. Enter receiving into the computer. Communicate issues with Operations Specialist.
Differentiate between Stock Put-Away and Backordered/Non-stock items. Put all stock away daily, organizing material on the shelf, and linking backordered and non-stock items to sales orders. Communicate with sales team to coordinate will call or delivery.
Effectively coordinate delivery routes each morning accounting for the dynamic needs of the customer. Be willing to be creative and approach problems with a "can do" attitude with the needs of the customer at the front of decisions.
Use a sales order document to effectively pick correct product and quantities from bin locations.
Prepare orders for delivery by packaging product, appropriately labeling product with order information, and completing ship confirmations.
Strategically and carefully load delivery vehicle accurately for assigned delivery route in order of delivery.
Deliver product to the job site or delivery location with highest level of vehicle safety and driving skill.
Effectively communicate with customer, project manager, contractor, etc., to determine where to place product upon delivery.
Place product according to detailed instructions for highest customer satisfaction.
Be the last line of defense against order mistakes and problems. Proactively communicate issues with sales team.
Be humble and willing to accept and correct mistakes.
Complete routine safety and service checks on delivery vehicles.
Clean and organize delivery vehicles and help with other warehouse activities as needed.
Organize and label overstock, job staging, and customer storage material using our stop light system. Make sure all inventory counts are correct and product labeled accordingly before lifting onto pallet racking.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Prior warehouse or similar experience in a customer service environment.
High attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
Ability to operate efficiently and calmly in a fast pace high intensity environment.
Experience preparing orders and/or delivering product with high level of customer service.
DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card upon hire.
Excellent driving record with less than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
Ability to handle panel vans, pickup trucks, and a 20ft flatbed truck safely.
Zero-tolerance for lack of safety. Must always wear a seatbelt and be able to use or learn to use safety features like the parking brake, fire extinguisher, etc.
High School Diploma or equal
Valid Driver's License with acceptable record
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and associated functions
Excellent communications skills, creative problem-solving skills, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
College Degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
Two or more years' experience leading a team
Electrical Distribution or similar Wholesale Distribution experience
Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring employees
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional environment primarily in a warehouse, with frequent outside yard activities, and occasional off-site travel in company vehicles.
Performing the essential duties of this job:
May require standing, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and walking with repetition
May also require the ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Requires ability to understand and speak English clearly
Occasionally requires lifting or moving products and supplies up to 50 pounds unassisted

Ensure the smooth and accurate flow of material as it arrives at, and is assembled to leave our facility
Communicate and help reconcile stock accuracy variances
Supervise all warehouse activities to ensure they are carried out safely
Lead employees to succeed in daily tasks and maximizing long-term career goals
Periodic evaluation of current processes and determine areas for improvement
Accurately process and secure related documentation
Champion team objectives and priorities as determined by the Profit Center Manager

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $18 to $22 hourly.
