Job Title: Skilled Labor (Construction)
Job Description
This role focuses on installing and maintaining insulation on a variety of mechanical systems in a construction environment. You will work with piping, ductwork, vessels, tanks, and related equipment, using hand and power tools to measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials. The position also involves removing and replacing damaged insulation, handling materials and tools, and maintaining a clean and safe work area while following all safety requirements.
Responsibilities
Measure, cut, fit, and install insulation on piping, ductwork, vessels, tanks, and mechanical systems.
Remove and replace damaged insulation materials, excluding any asbestos-related work.
Load, unload, and handle insulation materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Follow all company, customer, and jobsite safety requirements and procedures.
Use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other equipment correctly and safely.
Work in confined or tight spaces, at heights, and on ladders and stairs as required by the job.
Support general construction tasks, which may include activities related to carpentry, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, and other construction duties as needed.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards.
Communicate any safety concerns, material issues, or equipment needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials on mechanical systems.
Proficiency using basic hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work safely at heights.
Ability to work in confined or tight spaces when required.
Reliable transportation to and from jobsites.
Willingness and ability to follow detailed safety procedures and guidelines.
Basic construction knowledge, with 1+ year of construction experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work overtime when needed, as requested.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background or exposure to construction trades such as carpentry, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, or landscaping is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good physical stamina to perform manual labor throughout the workday.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Dependable work habits, including punctuality and consistent attendance.
Interest in learning and developing a skilled trade within the insulation industry.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite construction role with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Work takes place on jobsites where you will regularly use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and material handling equipment to install insulation on mechanical systems. The environment can include working at heights on ladders and stairs, in confined or tight spaces, and both indoors and outdoors depending on the project. The work is physically demanding and involves lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and moving throughout the day. Employees are expected to follow all safety rules and wear appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment suitable for a construction and industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
