The Arthur Lakes Library at the Colorado School of Mines is seeking adetail-oriented and collaborative Acquisitions & E-resources Specialistto join the Collection Management team. Reporting to the Head of Collections Management, this position plays a key role in ensuring seamless access to electronic and physical library resources that support teaching, learning, and research across campus.
This position is responsible for managing acquisitions workflows, vendor relationships, course reading programs, and collection assessment activities while ensuring efficient, cost-effective operations within the library management system (Alma).

Key ResponsibilitiesAcquisitions of Electronic & Physical Resources (30%)
Manage acquisition workflows including firm orders, subscriptions, demand-driven acquisitions, and donations
Create purchase orders, process invoices, and track expenditures
Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment or delivery issues
Ensure accurate access and records in Alma
Process and manage physical library materials
Support cost-effective acquisitions strategies and workflows
Course Readings Management (30%)
Coordinate course reading lists with the campus bookstore and faculty
Acquire and process materials for physical and digital course reserves
Maintain course readings in Alma/Leganto
Ensure copyright compliance and licensing adherence
Analyze usage data and improve program effectiveness
Collection Assessment & Analysis (20%)
Gather and analyze usage statistics (COUNTER, SUSHI harvesting)
Conduct cost-per-use and other collection evaluations
Contribute to reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Collection Management Support & Participation (20%)
Troubleshoot electronic resource access issues
Participate in cataloging, weeding, and collection maintenance projects
Document workflows, policies, and procedures
Support marketing of library resources
Serve on committees and contribute to library initiatives
Supervise and train student workers
Provide backup front desk support as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Only: Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.Must be a current classified employee working in Arthur Lakes Library.
