JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
The Manager - Scheduling, Crude Oil Marketing will provide day-to-day and strategic leadership to a team of Schedulers. This includes but is not limited to providing technical training, appropriate oversight, mentoring, and employee onboarding, development, and corrective actions if necessary.
This role should develop and maintain a positive, team-oriented culture aligned with ONEOK's Core Values and the broader Crude Oil Commercial team's strategic priorities.
To address the 24/7/365 nature of the business, the Manager will develop and implement cross-training and coverage strategies to provide necessary business continuity and employee work/life balance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
-The ability to lead the Scheduling team in performing its core functional responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
Nominating / scheduling/ allocating crude oil on various assets
Month end closing activities
Monthly review of inventory and storage positions
Interconnect confirmations with carriers
Power optimization initiatives
Compliance with regulations, contracts, and company policies and procedures
-Subject matter expertise of (i) applicable assets, operations, contracts, etc. and (ii) applicable company policies, procedures, desk documentation, working norms, etc.
-The ability to develop or modify applicable company policies, procedures, desk documentation, working norms, etc. to support the business line's commercial strategies and obligations
-Subject matter expertise of scheduling systems, tools, and associated technology
-RightAngle, Cobalt, EStream, and other nomination systems will be integral to the role
-The ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships
Develops and maintains strong internal relationships with other departments and communicates with and assists those teams as needed
Develops and maintains strong customer and connected carrier relationships
Proactively works to ensure customers experience a high level of satisfaction, reliability, and accuracy
Oversees issue resolutions and develops solutions to prevent recurrence
-The ability to analyze, research, read, interpret, and/or communicate applicable business information, which includes but is not limited to:
Company policies and procedures
Confirmations
Measurement reports
Invoices and inventory statements
Tariffs
Commercial agreements
-The ability to oversee, prepare, process, and/or approve business processes or information, which includes but is not limited to:
Summaries of nominations, volumetric, and inventory data
Month end closing process
System over/short analysis and inventory positions across assets
Notifications to customers
Ticketing and inventory discrepancy analysis, root cause determination, and applicable adjustments
Procedures and process changes
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Work Experience
Three to five years of applicable prior experience preferred
Strong knowledge of crude oil gathering, transportation, storage, and marketing operations
Experience with crude scheduling systems, logistics, and measurement
Proficient in standard business software and office systems
Background in crude purchasing, contracting, supply operations, and facility operations
Experience in crude accounting, commercial marketing, and contract execution (purchase, sale, exchange)
Skilled in researching, analyzing, and interpreting contracts, legal documents, and regulations
Effective communicator with experience working across teams and presenting to individuals and groups
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods
Ability to: communicate and/or exchange verbal and written information or instructions
