Opportunity:

UPLC & Mass Spec Experts Wanted! We are seeking an experienced (4+ years) Analytical Chemist for a lucrative contract opportunity with one of the premier employers in Monterey County.

Title : Analytical Chemist

Contract-to-hire + full benefits provided

Rate : $40-50/hr. (negotiable) and conversion salary up to $120k depending upon experience

Location : Castroville, CA

Length of Assignment : 6-12 months

The Analytical Chemist is a qualified and experienced laboratory analyst with a thorough understanding of analytical laboratory operations. Must be familiar and have experience with UPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC-MS. Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

Operation and PM of laboratory analytical instruments.

Performs routine analysis using validated methods.

Participates in development, validation, and/or transfer of new analytical methods.

General laboratory operation, ordering, and cleanliness.

Conforms to quality system and relevant SOPs.

Adheres to required controlled substance procedures

Performs other tasks as required.

Required Education, Qualification and Skills:

Experience (4+ years) with HPLC/UPLC chromatography and/or gas chromatography is required.

The ability and eagerness to learn new methods and instrumentation is required.

Willingness and ability to precisely follow SOPs is required.

Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.

Experience with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry is desired.

Experience with Empower 3.0 is desired.

Experience with botanical extraction, purification, and/or analysis is desirable.
