Job Description:** The Stark County Community Action Agency in Canton, OH, has a full-time Center Manager opening.

Duties:

[Responsible for overall direction, management and oversight of the Head Start center. Supervise center staff.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Monitor staff to ensure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, ODJFS licensing rules, SUTQ and agency policies and program procedures.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Achieve and maintain Step Up to Quality Rating.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Work cooperatively with program managers to ensure compliance and quality in all components of the program.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Support the professional development of Head Start staff through training, coaching, mentoring and technical assistance.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Conduct formal and informal classroom observations.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Provide guidance and support to staff with implementation of curriculum, ongoing assessments and classroom management.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Maintain working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, ODJFS licensing rules, SUTQ, program curriculum, screening and assessment.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Monitor compliance with Head Start requirements and timelines for home visits, conferences and required screenings and assessments.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Work with and provide guidance and support to student teachers, volunteers, or observers.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

Skills/Qualifications:

[A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[5 years related work experience in an ECE and preschool setting.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Be or become a CLASS Reliable Certified educator (within 6 months) and maintain the status during employment.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Working knowledge of ODJFS childcare licensing rules and regulations.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}
