We are seeking a strategic and highly organized Marketing Strategy & Integration Manager to drive planning, alignment, and integration across the marketing function. This role is responsible for connecting business objectives to marketing activities, ensuring priorities are aligned across all marketing functions to maximize business impact.
Working collaboratively across the marketing team, the Marketing Strategy & Integration Manager helps translate business priorities into integrated marketing plans, establishes clear operating rhythms, and drives visibility into performance and outcomes. The role serves as a key partner in ensuring marketing initiatives work together toward common objectives while supporting consistency, prioritization, and efficient execution across the organization.
The perfect candidate will, in this high-impact role, help shape the marketing direction for Volvo Penta North America. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and based in Chesapeake, Virginia, you will partner closely with senior leaders and aligning with Volvo Penta and Volvo Group standards, brand identity, and marketing guidelines- with both local and global stakeholders.
The role exists to help shape VPNA's marketing approach in several high-growth areas, including marine leisure and commercial, Data Centers, power generation, and emerging energy solutions.

What you will do
Marketing Planning & Strategic Alignment
Lead development of the annual marketing strategy, integrated marketing plan, and investment roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth priorities
Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable marketing initiatives and plans
Own the annual marketing budgeting and investment planning process, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-priority business and marketing objectives
Support identification of growth opportunities and strategic marketing activities
Monitor progress against plans and recommend adjustments as business needs evolve
Operational Cadence & Execution Management
Own the marketing operating rhythm, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly planning and performance reviews with marketing and business stakeholders
Track marketing initiatives, campaigns, and strategic priorities against agreed plans, objectives, and performance targets Identify risks, gaps, and resourcing trade-offs early
Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and resource constraints early, recommending solutions and course corrections
Facilitate prioritization across the marketing team to ensure focus on the highest-impact initiatives and business objectives
Guide prioritization across the team to focus on highest-impact initiatives
Provide flex support across strategic marketing initiatives and priority projects to ensure successful delivery against business objectives
Campaign Integration & Orchestration
Ensure all campaigns are fully integrated across channels, including social, web, PR, paid media, dealer, and events
Act as the central connector between strategy and execution, ensuring alignment and preventing siloed delivery
Partner with channel and brand owners to ensure campaigns launch with clear objectives, integrated activation plans, and defined success metrics
Advertising & Paid Media Strategy
Own the strategy for paid marketing and media investment across North America
Define channel mix across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and industry media
Translate campaign objectives into clear media strategies and investment plans
Establish budget allocation, targeting direction, and ROI expectations
Partner with Digital on execution, tracking, and ongoing optimization
Monitor performance and reallocate investment to maximize business impact
Measurement & Performance Management
Define and standardize KPIs across marketing to ensure alignment with business objectives
Ensure all marketing activities are tied to measurable outcomes and clear success criteria
Establish performance benchmarks and ROI expectations in partnership with functional owners
Partner with Digital to ensure consistent reporting frameworks and actionable insight generation
Drive visibility of marketing performance across leadership through standardized dashboards and reporting
Key Responsibilities continued
Marketing Technology & Data Enablement
Secure alignment between marketing tools, data, and business needs across functions
Work in partnership with digital marketing lead to ensure data flows enable end-to-end visibility across campaigns, channels, and dealer touchpoints
Improve visibility into performance, particularly for lead generation and growth initiatives
Identify gaps in tools, data, or reporting that limit marketing effectiveness and drive solutions
Campaign & Digital Integration
Ensure all channel activations (social, web, PR, paid, dealer, events) are aligned to integrated campaign plans defined by Brand and Communications
Act as the central coordination point to ensure consistent and connected execution across channels
Ensure campaign plans are translated into cross-functional activation with clear roles, timing, and dependencies
Ensure digital activation is aligned with campaign objectives and media investment strategy defined with functional owners
Business Support: Data Center & Marine Growth Areas
Partner with business development and commercial teams to support priority growth areas
Translate growth strategies into structured marketing plans and integrated campaigns
Ensure coordination across content, paid media, digital activation, events, and lead generation
Process & Ways of Working
Define and improve campaign development processes, briefing structures, and intake workflows
Establish clear ways of working across internal teams and agency partners
Strive for efficiency, clarity, and consistency across the marketing organization
Champion continuous improvement activities within marketing processes
Work closely with global counterparts to ensure efficiency, alignment and coordination
Maintain adherence to Volvo Penta and Volvo Group brand and marketing policies and procedures, standards, and identity

Preferred Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field required; MBA or master's degree a plus
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience across multiple marketing functions (e.g. dealer networks, communications, advertising, events & exhibition management, digital marketing, public relations, sales or account management/support or similar marketing functions)
Minimum 5 of the 8+ years of experience in a global equipment manufacturer of commercial or industrial equipment manufacturer (e.g. OEM of marine engines, power generation engines, agricultural equipment, forestry, data center, B2B or similar)
Experience working within a dealer network from the OEM perspective
Demonstrated experience developing data-driven marketing strategies
Proven business acumen and the ability to analyze and find meaning in data
Experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership and influencing senior stakeholders to drive cross-functional alignment
Expert interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills in both US and global @contexts
Work experience using Microsoft 365: Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Co-Pilot
Work experience using social & digital Platforms and associated marketing tools (e.g. marketing automation, analytics platforms, CRM, etc.)
Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English. Bilingual (English plus Spanish, Swedish, etc.) is appreciated

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company's growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $96,000 - $118,500 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.? The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
