Job Description**
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the basic assembly of industrial paint sprayers on a production line. This role involves mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, following computer-based work instructions, and supporting labeling and packaging activities as needed while working collaboratively with a small team.
Responsibilities
Assemble industrial paint sprayers using mechanical components, hand tools, and power tools according to work instructions and specifications.
Follow detailed computer-based work instructions and work orders to ensure accurate and consistent assembly processes.
Work on an assembly line alongside approximately 4 to 10 team members, contributing to a smooth and efficient production flow.
Perform labeling and packaging of finished products as needed to prepare items for shipment or storage.
Use basic electrical and mechanical knowledge as required for assembly tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Handle and lift components and products weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
Communicate effectively with team members and trainers to clarify instructions, report issues, and support continuous improvement.
Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while operating tools and equipment.
Meet productivity, quality, and safety goals set for the assembly line.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing setting, with mechanical assembly experience highly preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work confidently with hand and power tools, whether from previous jobs or personal projects such as home renovations or automotive work.
Ability to stand on your feet for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds safely and repeatedly.
Good computer skills, including the ability to read and follow work instructions on a computer.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to understand instructions and collaborate with the team.
Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and labeling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience with assembly line work or industrial equipment assembly.
Familiarity with reading and following work orders in a production environment.
Basic understanding of electrical concepts related to mechanical assembly.
Interest in further technical or trade education, as there are opportunities for additional training and development.
Ability to adapt to new equipment and processes in a state-of-the-art facility.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned manufacturing facility equipped with very new equipment. The work environment is safe, well-lit, and designed to provide a comfortable atmosphere for employees. The culture is easy-going but fast-paced, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Trainers are supportive, patient, and skilled at helping new team members and contractors get up to speed. Although the overall organization is large with over 100 employees, the department maintains a small-team feel, with daily work typically alongside about 10 other employees on the line.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
