Summary You will serve as a DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL. Responsibilities You will analyze comprehensive inspection data and identify systems to evaluate and provide relevant data to management for improved efficiencies and effectiveness of programs and processes. You will develop and execute the NPS Annual Oversight Plan. You will direct or initiate investigations or tasks and is the initial review authority for investigations of allegations concerning fraud, waste, abuse and other improprieties. You will compile and analyze data, recognize trends, and direct or employ various investigative methods as indicated by the developments of the case. You will develop and disseminate all NPS inspection, reviews, and external liaison/audit follow-up policies and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning program inspections in accordance with investigation program requirements; 2) Tracking management action to correct problems identified in inspection and audit reports; 3) Briefing management on status of investigative operations; and 4) Executing fraud, waste, and abuse and mismanagement prevention program in accordance with organizational mission and objectives.
