Job Title: Warehouse Receiver
Job Description
The Warehouse Receiver plays a key role in a wholesale auto parts distribution operation by accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing inbound shipments using RF scanning technology. This position works in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling automotive parts of various sizes while ensuring inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Receive inbound shipments of automotive parts and materials from vendors and carriers in a timely and accurate manner.
Use RF scanners to verify, scan, and record incoming inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality, and promptly report any discrepancies, shortages, or issues.
Unload trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, or by hand as needed, following safe material handling practices.
Label, tag, and store products in the correct warehouse locations to ensure efficient inventory organization.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts to support inventory control.
Complete and file all receiving documentation, including packing slips and bills of lading, in an organized and accurate manner.
Coordinate with inventory control, purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve receiving or inventory issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with company safety standards.
Follow all company policies, OSHA guidelines, and established procedures for safe material handling, shipping, and receiving.
Support related warehouse activities such as order picking, packing, loading, and general material handling as needed.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of experience in warehouse receiving, shipping, or inventory roles, preferably in an automotive or distribution environment.
Proficiency using RF scanners to receive and track inventory.
Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory processing and data entry.
Ability to read and interpret packing slips, invoices, and shipping documents accurately.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and inventory.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and working with inventory systems.
Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving, order picking, packing, loading, and general material handling tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with automotive parts and terminology is a strong plus.
Experience working in a wholesale or distribution warehouse environment.
Comfort handling automotive parts of varying sizes and weights.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as inventory control, purchasing, and warehouse operations.
Commitment to following OSHA guidelines and safe material handling practices.

Work Environment
This position is based in a small warehouse environment with a team of about 10 people, fostering close collaboration and clear communication. The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work is hands-on and physically active, involving the handling of automotive parts of various sizes, unloading trucks, and moving materials throughout the facility. RF scanners and a warehouse management system (WMS) are used daily to process and track inventory. The receiving area and warehouse are maintained to be clean, organized, and safe, with a strong focus on following company safety standards and OSHA guidelines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
