Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $100 - $100 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Director Of Finance:
Assist in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and company policies and procedures
Monitor company compliance with all financial provisions of the management contract
Review and/or prepare event settlements
Review and execute all checks and deposits, reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements
Monitor and project daily cash flow; invests excess cash as needed via sweep account
Prepare financial statements for the Client and Corporate office, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, annual budget, and annual report
Review and reconcile balance sheet on a monthly basis
Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures
Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records
Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues
Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
Coordinate preparation of Client or external audit materials and financial reporting; implements recommendations
Coordinate year-end report of fiscal performance for the General Manager's report
Direct the implementation of any new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other procedures
Manage the Finance and Box Office departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary working conditions and leave work area in a clean and orderly fashion
Abides by all company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual, the Business Code of Conduct, and the Cash Handling Procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), Weekends
Job requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment.
Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using MS-DOS, MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook MS Word, E-Time software, ABIMM Timekeeping software, Microsoft D365 and Peachtree/Sage 50 accounting software.
General knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
B.S. in Accounting or Finance from 4-year college/university or equivalent
Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures as well as financial systems and controls
Capable of handling all aspects of the accounting cycle and principles and techniques of venue operation
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience in the convention center industry (Preferred not Required)
Possess excellent customer service skills
Physical requirements include walking, stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods of time
Background check and Drug test required
