Responsibilities You will formulate budgets and estimates to support work plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget request, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will implement internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory control over approved budgets. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing budgeting AND/OR financial analysis' of national AND/OR large level programs; developing, recommending and implementing budgetary OR financial policies. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information PCS may be authorized at the command's discretion, contingent on local command approval and funding. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
